The book was published by Det Norske Samlaget in 1997, hardbound and in Nynorsk (ISBN 978-82-521-4701-8). It has an introduction by Jon Hellesnes, a contribution by Kjartan Fløgstad and an afterword by Enstad. Deichman gives 144 pages; the page count rests on a single source.
According to the publisher, the book is about the project «Den endelege løysinga på skulpturproblemet» (The Final Solution to the Problem of Sculpture, 1987–91), in which blocks of different materials such as steel, styrofoam and marble are divided up, and it shows some of the arrangements and how they can be perceived.
Booksellers list Hellesnes and Fløgstad as authors and Enstad as illustrator, while Deichman lists Enstad as the author.
